The Second Life Science Fiction Convention 5 started yesterday June 27th and it is full of exhibits to see, people to meet, and fun things to do and learn. I spent the better part of this morning talking to different people about the role play sims that have exhibits at the convention, watching someone build a space station right before my eyes, and enjoying the many things we like about science fiction.

In my travels I found three new scifi rp sims including a Dr. Who, Power Rangers, and Warhammer 40K role play. All are listed on the rp sims page with more detail.

There are also two invited guests that will be speaking at the convention. Jonathan Frakes of Star Trek the Next Generation will be speaking tomorrow June 29th at 6pm SLT and Garret Wang of Star Trek Voyager will be speaking on July 1st at 6pm SLT.
